Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear? Tubing is a winter sport and you will be in contact with snow. We suggest wearing ski or snowmobile gear. Hats and gloves are suggested items to bring. Ski Helmets may be worn if you choose. Ski boots or other hard boots may not be worn. This is an insurance requirement and there are no exceptions. Are you always open during your posted times? No. Sometimes weather or track conditions can close us down. If you are concerned about the weather conditions please call us. How many rides will I get? The number of rides depends on how busy we are. During non-busy times (such as midweek, non-holidays) you may get up to 12 runs per hour. If you come during our peak times (holiday periods) you may only get 1-2 rides per hour. If it is important to you to get a lot of rides in please consider coming during an off-holiday period. Do I need to bring my own tube? No, tubes are included with your ticket purchase. Only Activity Barn tubes may be used since they are designed for safety and to attach to our lift system. Is tubing safe? We strive to make the tubing hill as safe as possible, but Tubing is a sport with many inherent risks. The Activity Barn requires a
waiver to be signed. Please take the time to read this fully so you know some of the risks. Good judgment and awareness will help minimize your risks.. These are some of the samples of the dangers of tubing but are in no way all of them. - Collisions may occur on the track. The most common collision that may occur is at the end of the slide (the run out). Please clear the track quickly and if you have small children, make sure they are cleared from the track immediately. Occasionally, a tuber may be right behind you.
- Lift/Mechanical failure. Be aware that the lift may not operate perfectly. Always be ready to leave your tube and stop your momentum down the hill if your tube unattaches from the lift or fails to unattach in the unloading zone.
- Inability to control your tube may result in a collision or force your tube outside of the track.
- Young children 2 and younger are not allowed to tube. The Activity Barn does not recommend children under 5 or those that can not easily get in and out of their tube on their own.
